1Spatial has enabled No 1 AIDU to improve the quality and consistency of their data by maintaining it in a single, central database, rather than numerous individual charts. Alongside the increased productivity, No 1 AIDU is also benefiting from substantial time and cost savings.
Barnsley needed to migrate more than five million documents from its legacy document management system (DMS) to Microsoft SharePoint and avoid the need for a costly renewal of the DMS licence. Drawing on in-house skills and experience – supported by 1Spatial – the team used Safe Software’s FME to migrate documents and properties to SharePoint.
The council fulfilled their data quality and spatial referencing obligations at the same time as improving operational efficiency. The new level of data quality provided them with renewed confidence that they could trust their data when making business-critical decisions.
By using FME to create scheduled, rules-based automation, the council radically reduced workload while improving performance against government targets for the publication of open data, response to Freedom of Information requests and the standard of local geospatial data.
Queensland Transport and Main Roads are now able to automatically process large volumes of non-complying events against a defined set of business rules. This is a much more efficient way of working and means operators can spend time on more productive activities.
