User Management

There are two levels of permissions for Users in 1Data Gateway.

  • A standard User who can be given Assignments and Submit data
  • A Receiver who has administrative privileges

Administrative Users can create new Users at any time, granting them privileges as appropriate.

Creating a User

  1. Select the User tab in the navigation panel
  2. Click the 'plus icon', name the User and enter an email address, then select Add User
  3. A User has now been created and you can add or remove users to the group.

When a user has been created an email will be sent to the email address registered. The email will include a link to create a password and activate the account. For more information about configuring these emails, please see Mail Templates.

Editing a User

  1. Select the User tab in the navigation panel
  2. Click the edit icon to start editing the User details.

    Note: Some details, such as Name and Email will not be accessible if the user you select is managed by LDAP.

  3. Using the tabs you can now:
    • View the User status
    • Update the User's name and email
    • Grant or revoke permissions
