Measurement Tool

You can measure distances with the Measurement Tool, located on the Context bar (see Context Bar).

The Measurement Tool uses the units set within the data and will display a segmented and accumulative Total measurement figure on the 1Edit Status Bar (see The Status Bar).

Use the Measurement Tool

1. Select the Measurement Tool from the Context Bar
2. Click a point on the map (this does not need to be located on an existing feature, but it will snap to one if within tolerance)
3. Click a second point on the map
4. A vector is drawn on the map and the total distance and the last segment distance will now display in the Status Bar
5. Click Accept to complete the measurement mode or continue to create additional points of the measurement
