Geometry Store
The Geometry Store is used to hold temporary geometries shown on top of the usual feature layers. These geometries are only used for visual comparisons and they cannot be selected on the map like normal features.
To view your saved Geometries, open the Bookmarks panel from the Status Bar.

Note: You can pin the Bookmarks Panel by selecting the Pin Panel icon .
Adding to the Geometry Store
To add to a feature to the Geometry Store, first select a feature in the Map Viewer and then select the Add to Geometry Store icon next to the geometry attribute in the Attribute tab of the Properties Panel.
Go to Geometry Store Entry
If you select an entry in the Geometry Store panel then the map will recentre and zoom to show that geometry.
Buffer Distance
You can set a buffer on features in the Geometry Store. To do this, select the Buffer Geometry icon next to the saved geometry.
This will open the Enter Buffer Distance dialogue where you can input the distance to buffer.

Adding a Buffer will create a new item in the Geometry Store, along with a new temporary buffer geometry in the Map Viewer.
Note: If you enter a value of 0 you will create an exact copy of the Geometry Store entry.
Warning: If you enter a negative value for some geometries (e.g. a line geometry) this will produce an error as it will not result in a valid polygon geometry.
Viewing Geometry Information
If you mouse over an entry in the Geometry Store then you will see information, such as the area of a polygon geometry as well as the buffer distance used if the entry was created by buffering.

Controlling Visibility
The tickbox(es) next to the Geometry Store entry controls the visibility of the geometry the primary and secondary windows. In the following image, the buffered geometry is shown only on the secondary window and not on the primary.

Styling Geometry Store Entries
The style of the geometry store entries on the map can be controlled from the System Colour panel.
Renaming and deleting Geometry Store entries
As with User Bookmarks, Geometry Store entries can be renamed and deleted.
Note: If you rename a geometry store entry, then the name of buffered features are not changed. Similarly, deleting an entry will not delete buffered geometries based on it.
