Basic Concepts

In order to get to grips with 1Integrate for ArcGIS, it is important to understand a few basic concepts and terms used within the product:

• Action
  Actions either report or enhance any features identified by their associated Rule.

• Built-in
  Extensions, sometimes referred to as "built-ins" can be added to 1Integrate for ArcGIS to extend existing functionality. They take the form of .JSON files, and can be uploaded via the Rule Author.

• Condition
  A condition is a high-level, logical test that defines the syntax for a rule.

• Extension
  Extensions, sometimes referred to as "built-ins" can be added to 1Integrate for ArcGIS to extend existing functionality. They take the form of .JSON files, and can be uploaded via the Rule Author.
• Extent
  An extent is the selected area on which any validation checks will be run. By default this is set to the entire dataset, however this can be altered using the draw tool.

• Operation
  An operation is a high level component of an Action, which determines the primary function of the Action.

• Package
  Packages are groups of Rules (and associated Actions). They are stored within Rulesets, and are visible as collapsable groups of Rules within the Widget interface.
Q
• Quick Action
  A Quick Action is a template action, which can be used to report upon or modify any data defined by a rule.
• Quick Rule
  A Quick Rule is a template rule, designed to cover common data validation tasks so that you can quickly create some basic rules.

• Rule
  Rules identify a group of features based on sets of logical expressions.
• Rule Author
  The Rule Author is an interface used for managing Rulesets, Packages, Rules and Actions.
• Ruleset
  Rulesets contain Packages of Rules (and associated Actions), which can then be made available to a dataservice.
V
• Value
  A value is a constant, a reference to objects or a calculation. They are compared using a relationship.
