Example rule: finding voids

You can create rules to check for anomalies in the topology. For example, you can create a rule to check for holes existing between polygons. A hole is a face that does not contain any reference to polygons.

 

When you define topology rules, you include the classes used to build topology, and the primitive classes in the system data store.

The rule builder user interface is used to create rules that check the topology rules using standard rule building techniques. The Include schema setting can also be used to list the classes in the external data stores and the pre-defined topological primitives in the 1Integrate data store.

The Use Schema setting can also be used to list the classes of external data stores and the pre-defined topological primitives in the 1Integrate data store. This setting needs to be selected in the Context tab.
