Rule Discovery

Rule discovery in 1Integrate is the application of data mining techniques to spatial data.

Rule discovery analyses data from a data source, looks for patterns, and uses statistical techniques to deduce a set of rules. Combined with published specifications and knowledge from individuals, rule discovery can find rules that may otherwise be missed.

1Integrate considers the following types of relationship in rule discovery:

• Attribute relationships
• Spatial relationships, such as topology
• Distance
• Direction

The Rule Discovery workspace is used to configure and manage discovery specifications, which are used to configure the Discover Rules task..

Note: Rule Discovery is an optional component. If it has not been licensed, the Rule Discovery workspace contents will be empty.
