Creating and Managing Data Stores

The Data Stores workspace is used to configure and manage Data Stores. Select the Data Stores icon in the Sidebar to access the Data Store workspace.

Once in the Data Store workspace, selecting the Add Item icon in the navigation pane will allow you to configure one of the available Supported Data Stores for use in 1Integrate.

Once an item is selected from the Navigation Pane, it can be viewed or modified using the following tabs:

  • Read and Commit - standard metadata relating to the selected item, connection details to the database for importing data into 1Integrate and mapping from the Schema of the external data source to the 1Integrate Session schema.

  • Copy To - connection details to a database for exporting data from 1Integrate and mapping from the 1Integrate Session Schema to the Schema of the external data source.

Note: If using a Commit Task then the inverse of the Read and Commit mapping is used and the Copy To mapping is ignored.

Note: Names of Classes and Attributes in 1Integrate can contain any ISO 8859 characters. Unicode is not supported.

Creating Data Stores

New Data Stores can be created from the Navigation Pane.

ClosedCreate a Data Store

  1. Navigate to the Data Stores workspace.

  2. Within the Navigation Pane, select where you want to create a new Data Store.

  3. Select the Add button and select to add a new Data Store.

  4. The Data Store will then need to be configured with Read and Commit and/or Copy To settings.

ClosedRead and Commit

Once your Data Store has been created, you can configure the Read and Commit settings appropriate to your Data Store, see Supported Data Stores for specific parameter details.

To configure Read and Commit, select the Configure Icon in the top right of the Data Store workspace.

Note: When updating the configuration of a Data Store, click the Test Connection button in the configuration panel or the Refresh button in the Read and Commit/Copy To Workspace to make sure your Data Store is updated.

Once these details have been entered, Schema Mapping must be performed (see Read and Commit).

The Commit and Read tab of the Data Stores page is then used to configure and view the Schema and define the connection to an external Data Store (if this step was not performed when first creating the Data Store).

When performing a commit of data back to its source, the Read and Commit settings are used and the Read and Commit mapping is reversed. The Copy To settings and Copy To mappings are only used when doing a Copy To task.

Note: The 1int-datastores-write Permissions is required in order to configure Read and Commit.

ClosedCopy To

The Copy To settings are used when copying data to a new set of tables or classes in the external data source. You can configure the Read and Commit settings appropriate to your Data Store, see Supported Data Stores for specific parameter details.

Note: If using a Commit Task then the inverse of the Read and Commit mapping is used and the Copy To mapping is ignored.

The Copy Read and Commit Details button can be used to copy existing details from the Data Store's Read and Commit tab.

When data has been written to a Data Store type other than Oracle or SQL, the results will be available to download by clicking Download for the Destination Files.

Once the Copy To settings have been configured, Schema Mapping must be performed (see Copy To).

Note: The 1int-datastores-write Permissions is required in order to configure Copy To.

Moving and Deleting Data Stores

Data Stores can be renamed, moved or deleted by right clicking items in the Navigation Pane, or by using keyboard shortcuts.

For more information on using the navigation pane please refer to Items and Folders.

Note: To move or copy into the top level, select the title of the list of items as your target folder.
