Customising Pages

Pages can be customised to show additional information on the initial PDF pages or new pages can be added to give multiple views of the plan.

Selecting New Page adds a new page to your PDF, which can then be customised.

Lengend with a newly added page

Each PDF can have several Map, Diversion Map, and Diversion Inventory pages but only ever contain one Inventory page and one Information page. However, if you’ve deleted either of those, you will be given the option to add them back in to the Legend.

Pages can be edited with the Edit button or deleted with the Delete button, which appear when hovering over a page.

ClosedAnnotations

To increase the readability of the plan, annotations can be added to a map page. There are three annotation types, Leader Line, Measurement, and Text.

Description

Add Leader Lines to reposition features

Leader Lines allow features to be moved to another part of the map while a leader line shows the point it belongs at.

The feature icon can be changed to a different size to increase readability.

Note: The feature icons will always face you.

Add measurements

Measurements can show Total, Cumulative and Incremental values for a multiple point line added to the map.

A label can be added to this and the start and end of the full line can have different arrow types.

Place Text

Text can be added directly to the map with a chosen bearing.

Note: This attaches flat on the map and can be covered by other features so positioning informs its readability.

After adding annotations each can be edited in the same way as when editing features.

ClosedDisplay

This lists the viewing options applied to the page. These are all edited via The Map options: View mode, Basemap, and Layers.

Configuring a new PDF page

Note: Any changes to your map view are only stored for that page. Returning to the legend will revert to whatever settings you had prior to customising the page.

ClosedViewport

Map pages and Diversion Map pages allow you to configure a viewport for the map, allowing for angles or close-ups that the full map pages might not show.

A custom viewport can be added by selecting Add Viewport and moving the map until the extents of the viewport contains the section of the map that you want to cover.

Configuring a PDF viewport

When you have the view you want in the viewport, select Confirm Viewport and a map window of the extents of your viewport will display in the panel. To replace a viewport, remove the current viewport with the Delete button, and add a new viewport as before.

Note: Any changes to the view mode and basemap will automatically be applied to the viewport.

ClosedNotes

Notes can be added to display on the PDF pages. This allows basic formatting and can include hyperlinks to external web addresses.

Clicking the PDF Preview button will display the preview with the formatted text and any working hyperlinks.

When you have finished adding and configuring pages, remember to press the Save button to keep your edits.

The page order can be changed by clicking and dragging a page into a new position in the Legend.
