Copying Nodes

To save time when creating rules or actions, you can copy existing node structures.

Nodes can be copied from one rule or action to another, or within the same rule or action.

Conditions, values, and relationships can all be copied between rules and actions. Operations can also be copied within actions.

Note: Nodes cannot be pasted if the syntax of the rule or action will be incorrect after pasting (e.g. nodes that contain operations cannot be pasted into rules because operations are not available in the rule syntax).

ClosedCopying a node within the same Rule or Action

  1. Open a rule or action for editing.
    • For a rule, open the Rule Condition tab.
    • For an action, open the Action Definition tab.
  2. Select the node to be copied and click .

  3. Select the parent node to contain the copied node and click .

If the rule syntax is correct, the node is pasted into the rule or action.

ClosedCopying a node between Rules or Actions
