Oracle Workspace Manager (OWM) Workspaces

Oracle Workspace Manager allows users to workspace-enable tables and create multiple parallel named workspaces.

This provides a private view of data in which Oracle transactions can be performed; only users using that workspace name can see the changes.

When edits to the data have been made, a workspace can be merged into the mainline workspace.

Each 1Integrate session can have an Oracle workspace defined in an Open Data task (see Open Data Task). This means that when the session reads or writes data from an Oracle data store that is Oracle Workspace Manager-enabled, the data is read or written to the named Oracle workspace. If a workspace name is not specified, the default workspace is used.

Workspaces are described in 1Integrate as: [data_store_name]: [workspace_name]
