John has been working in the spatial information industry for twenty-five years. He currently works for Land Tasmania, a division Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania. Land Tasmania's core business includes the management of LISTmap (www.thelist.tas.gov.au/listmap/listmapstart.jsp), and the delivery of spatial data to clients. John leads a small team that is responsible for customising desktop and enterprise Geographic Information Systems and the administration of spatial databases

Daryn has work experience of more than 20 years in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) on various industry standard GIS and CAD platforms following completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geomatics. His experience on Spatial projects include spatial analysis, database design and management using Oracle, SQL Server, PostgresSQL and Toad/Toad Data Modeler, data management using AutoCAD, MapInfo and ArcGIS, spatial digital data analysis and management, and data manipulation and automation processes using FME Form, FME Flow and FME Flow Hosted. Daryn is also a certified Professional in both FME Form and FME Flow.
Daryn has been involved in major projects at local, state and national levels of government and has been involved in supporting, maintaining and manipulating very large complex datasets and databases, and has extensive experience in creating FME workflows for transformation and automation processes.

With Environment Online, the front door platform for many of DWER's regulatory approvals, GIS is vital and getting significant attention.

His work bridges the gap between backend spatial processing and user-friendly web applications, ensuring data integrity and usability.

Darren began his career as a Survey and Civil Engineering Draftsman in 1981. Since then, he has progressed to other roles in Survey and Civil Engineering and most recently managed his own consulting business specialising in GIS, CAD Customisation and Civil Engineering Design. Tasks performed include drafting, cartography, design, data creation, manipulation and visualisation of 2D and 3D data, Mobile asset management systems. In striving for improved speed, methodology and quality of work, he has developed key strategies involving customisation and automation. Darren is committed to innovation and the development of new processes. Not only has he met customers’ needs but strives to exceed their expectations, often with an enhancement or solution they may not have considered or believed was possible.

Peter Twiby has been involved in GIS for over 35 years, working in areas including local government, mining and state government agencies. With expertise in data management, analysis, system design, map creation, web-mapping and GIS support, Peter is currently employed by Western Power as a GIS Data Analyst, and Functional Support officer. His main roles include providing innovative GIS solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Putting powerful, accurate, and easy to understand spatial information into everyone’s hands – staff and customers – is a key focus. In the past he has played a key role in the WALIS Points of Interest working group and the ICSM Data Framework Technical Sub Committee.
In his spare time, Peter volunteers for the DFES GIS mapping support volunteer group, MapsWA.

Now recognized as an FME Guru, Brett brings deep technical insight and leadership to his current role as General Manager of Mapping at Hema Maps.

Today, FME is a crucial component in his analytics and reporting functions, also aiding in system integration processes.
At Transgrid, Michael administers FME Server/Flow, leveraging FME to develop data collection tools and integrations between systems such as Salesforce and GE Smallworld.
