Wrapping Up the 1Spatial World Tour 2025 – What a Ride!

Author: Andrej Mocicka, Country Manager - 1Spatial Australia

huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the 1Spatial World Tour 2025 (1SPWT25)! With around 450 registrants across 8 capital cities in Australia, this year’s tour was our biggest yet—and we’re still buzzing from the energy.

This year’s tour was packed with highlights:

  • The latest and greatest from the FME 2025 release
  • Reported on the Peak of Data and AI in Seattle
  • 1Spatial’s technology and where we are helping solve customers’ spatial issues.

Those that attended were a mix of people who had no experience with FME to those that have had almost 30 years of experience using FME

FME Legends Unite

The Networking session at the start of the events allowed delegates to find out more about their colleagues and why people had attended the event, along with finding out who has used FME the longest. This proved interesting in Melbourne where there were three people who were separated only by months at over 28 years…. Leonie Saric, Darren Green and Brett Madsen were seen swapping stories of using the older versions of FME… fun fact, the three got together in a break and worked out that combined they had over 90 years of FME experience…

Customer Stories: The Real Stars

By far the most popular aspect of the World Tour is hearing from customers on how they are using FME. With over 20 customers, ranging from people just starting out with FME talking about their journey so far, to power users of FME. This part of the World Tour program always proves the most popular part, as is shown in our feedback forms.

Swag, Socks & Storytime

Let’s be honest—everyone loves the swag.

The other part of the 1Spatial World Tour that was mentioned in all states when asked why people had attended was that of the swag, this year saw 1Spatial provide the 2025 edition of business socks and as an added value this year we provided all attendee with the 1Spatial Children’s book “Kimberley the Kangaroo and the Geospatial Adventure”.  For more information on the book and those interested in obtaining a Free copy of the book please follow this link.

Presentations & Tech Talk

A big thank you must go to those who took the time and effort to present and if you want to learn more about the presentations, please get in contact with 1Spatial. Another feature of the World Tour was where we detailed how 1Spatial provides unique synergistic solutions for customers using our 1Spatial technology and FME together.  The details of these solutions will be part of our webinar program through the year, please follow this link for further details on our web site.

The Future of Spatial Data

The theme of this year's World Tour was “The Future of Spatial Data”. While there was a lot of information on AI throughout the event, we took the opportunity to look back at what major achievements have occurred over the years and concluded on some enlightenment from Nostradamus top 7 predictions through Chat GPT. We all look forward to world peace by 2099! 😊

See You in 2026?

Planning is already underway for the 1Spatial World Tour 2026 and if you are happy to share with others in the Spatial Community what you are doing, we would love you to be involved, so please submit your interest here
