Example: Splitting a Line where it Crosses Features

If the line is in the same Planar or Network-T topology as the crossing feature:

  1. Select the line.

  2. Open the lower app bar and select Edit > Split.

  3. Click on the intersection point.

    As the features share a topology, there will be a vertex at the split point and the split point will be snapped to this vertex.

If the line is not in the same Planar or Network-T topology as the crossing feature:

  1. Select the line
  2. Open the lower app bar and select Edit > Split.
  3. Select Intersect from the Context bar (see Context Bar).
  4. Select the current line and the crossing feature to split at the intersection point.
