The FHWA’s All Roads Network of Linear Referenced Data (ARNOLD) initiative compels State DOTs to integrate local road data into their Linear Reference Systems (LRS), a move essential for ARNOLD data submissions and enhanced road network visibility across the nation. Local agencies are key in this endeavor, providing detailed modeling of county roads for Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) systems. The Applications of Enterprise GIS for Transportation, Guidance for a National Transportation Framework (AEGIST) Pooled Fund Study is examining methods to merge NG9-1-1 Road Centerlines with DOT LRS networks, emphasizing automated conflation as a promising methodology.
This webinar will unpack the strategies organizations are adopting to meet ARNOLD’s mandates through automation. Featuring Caltrans’ methodical approach, the discussion will center on assimilating NG9-1-1 Road Centerlines from local entities into the Caltrans All Roads Linear Reference Model (LRM).
Join 1Spatial’s Luke Winters and Caltrans’ Aaron Ott, Chief, Office of Data Services and Technology, Enterprise GIS, LRS, HPMS and FHWA Reporting, Division of Research, Innovation and System Information (DRISI) for Caltrans in a dialogue about the reciprocal advantages of integrating Public Safety data with DOT systems, underscoring the collaborative progress for both DOT operations and Public Safety objectives.
