Bridging the Data Gap between DOT’s and Emergency Management
Data integration and collaboration with other state agencies is becoming an ever increasing requirement. But synchronizing data between DOT’s and other state agencies can be challenging as all street centerlines are not created equal. Centerlines serve various purposes and thus keeping them in sync can be challenging.
This presentation will focus on how some state DOT’s and other state departments are collaborating by sharing road centerline data through rules-based automated change detection and synchronization processes while still taking into account different schema’s, databases, platform technology and intersection representations.
