In this webinar we’ll look at some examples of how FME can be used within the transportation and engineering sector. Whether you need to prepare data for different systems, validate your transport network, do some route analysis or respond to events with real time data processing – FME can be used for a multitude of data processing tasks. FME is also extremely good at translating a myriad of data formats, so if you're using a proprietary transport planning package that only accepts a MIF\MID file or you're exporting from a modelling package and you can only export to DXF, then this session will have some answers for you. Oh, did we mention you can connect to an API with FME? Tune in to find out more...
Start: October 25, 2018 | End: October 25, 2018
With the movement of data and services to Cloud based platforms, we look at how you can use FME to interact with these services. So many suppliers out there now have competing offerings and they all want to host your tabular data for you, some will also handle geometry if you have it. The one thing they generally have in common is access to your data via an API, so whilst they are great at fostering collaboration with slick interfaces, bulk processing tasks or complicated joins are best handled elsewhere. So, in this session we’ll show you how to you can use FME to make REST call's automatically to these services to automate your data processing, and add even more value to your cloud transition.
