1Spatial Update on COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

As Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to have an unprecedented impact globally, we want to reassure all our valued customers that we are doing everything to ensure seamless continuity of all our activities.

1Spatial is taking steps to ensure our business continues to function as normal and that any impact caused by COVID-19, wherever possible, does not affect our services.

  • Based on advice from both the World Health Organisation and the local Governments in the locations where we operate, we have examined our contingency plans to safeguard our capacity to operate and continue to meet our commitments in this exceptional time.
  • In line with government advice, the majority of our staff will now be working from home with all but essential travel halted and relying more on web based calls and remote assist options to ensure seamless continuity of support services to our clients.
  • All our dedicated support desk staff can work from home without any restrictions to their ability to respond to support requests. This capability extends to other staff members that deal with customer support queries, such as our consultants from the various technical services teams.
  • If you need to report an issue you can continue to raise cases via email, voice call or the 1Spatial Communities Portal.
  • Where 1Spatial is the reseller of third-party software, for example Geocortex from VertiGIS and FME from Safe Software, we are working with our partners to secure and sustain service levels.  Please continue to raise cases with 1Spatial by the methods referred to above.

Whilst we move to operating remotely, our intention as ever is to deliver an excellent service. We are here if you need us and are thinking of all our customers, partners and our community around the world as we all join together at this time.

If you require further information regarding our COVID-19 policies and contingency plans, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Policy Statement

1. GENERAL STATEMENT

1Spatial is committed to adopting and implementing a policy covering the safe return to work in line with the prevailing Government advice and guidance related to COVID-19.

This policy reinforces 1Spatial’s commitment to prioritise staff and visitors’ health and safety as the cornerstone of the company’s Health and Safety Policy.

Eastern Builders Safety Group Ltd (EBSG) and Croner Group Limited will co-operate wherever appropriate to ensure that staff members, visitors and other third parties are all able to operate in a safe working environment during and beyond the current COVID-19 restrictions.

The Company will monitor and review processes continuously to comply with current legislation and Government guidelines.

2. COMMITMENTS

The Company is committed to adopting and complying with all instructions issued by the relevant UK Government Departments. Under current official guidelines, 1Spatial will ensure that staff members are able to safely and productively undertake their professional work responsibilities from home as their default place of work until further notice. Until such a time, for those staff with office-based contracts, attendance at a 1Spatial office location is done so on a voluntary basis only and in accordance with 1Spatial’s issued Code of Conduct for working at the office.

The Company will provide the necessary IT equipment to allow the employees to safely carry out their duties in their chosen home location. If staff members need/choose to work from the office, 1Spatial will ensure that the office facilities meet the highest quality environmental, Health & Safety conditions that it is possible to provide. 1Spatial will commit to enhanced cleaning regimes, including a professional ‘deep clean’ prior to the official reopening, as well as appropriate screening, signage and sanitisation measures.

The Company will provide adequate information, advice, instruction, and training if necessary, to ensure that the employees are aware of the control measures and procedures for safe working, which will be issued to all staff as a Code of Conduct. 1Spatial Directors and management recognise the impact on mental health and wellbeing that non routine COVID-19 working practices might have on individuals, so all Line Managers will be more vigilant of their reporting staff in this regard and will have more frequent contact with their team members to provide updates and the opportunity to ‘check-in’. Where any additional support is required, this will be provided in collaboration with the line managers and HR representatives.

The Company will ensure that any potential or confirmed employee cases of COVID-19, whether it be themselves or somebody in their household, is reported to line management and HR. Self-isolation (10-days for the person with symptoms and 14 days for the entire household) must be adopted.

The Company will ensure effective consultation with employees about the COVID-19 Risk Assessment and discuss about any proposed changes to the document and to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.

Both documents will be revised when necessary.
