Asset Registers can sometimes be described as Data Hubs, Data Platforms, Asset Management Registers, Spatial Data Infrastructures, Data Exchange Platforms or even Systems of Record. They can help protect, preserve, move and serve data to support local, regional, national or international data programmes to improve how you operate, broker, collaborate and innovate.

Protecting your Asset Register

Protecting your Asset Register means adopting a Systems Thinking approach - in the same way Financial Services manage risk exposure, or how Global Security Operation Centres (GSOC) rely on asset registers in reacting to security incidents, or emergency response.

An Asset Register is often part of a digital transformation project, and be seen as a stepping stone towards digital twin adoption for the built environment.
