"This is a very exciting effort for us as we are collaborating with not just the ADOA but also with its 9-1-1 Agency Partners, the State’s GIO in the Department of Lands as well as with our long-standing customer (actually 2nd here in the US) the Arizona DOT. In fact, 1Spatial’s 1Data Gateway product, which will also be utilized in this project to support DOT’s Data Supply Chain, was actually developed by 1Spatial based on a custom effort the DOT had developed several years back, making this a collaboration in more ways than one!"

Sheila Steffenson 1Spatial Inc. CEO

Key Benefits:

  • Enables the State to provide the locals with a user-friendly
portal for data validation which produces a geospatial report identifying the issues and their exact location. The local entity can then download the report and bring it into their system of choice for data cleanup, making the process much easier and more efficient.
  • Provides the State with a dashboard to monitor how the locals are progressing over time (e.g. to show if their data is improving or declining) so the State can further support those who are struggling. The State can also see if particular validation rules are causing the majority of user issues, enabling the State to provide further guidance/education on those particular requirements.

The State of Arizona is working with 1Spatial to begin migrating
from Enhanced 9-1-1 to NextGen 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) to improve the infrastructure and processes that support the 9-1-1 efforts. Accurate geospatial data will be essential to ensure calls are routed to the correct Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), which will require statewide data validation and integration to be successful.
